四翼”為高考的考查要求，即“基礎(chǔ)性、綜合性、應(yīng)用性、創(chuàng)新性”，回答“怎么考”的問題。

1.“基礎(chǔ)性”要求主要體現(xiàn)在學(xué)生要具備適應(yīng)大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)或社會(huì)發(fā)展的基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)、基本能力和基本素養(yǎng)，包括全面合理的知識(shí)結(jié)構(gòu)、扎實(shí)靈活的能力要求和健康健全的人格素養(yǎng)。

3.“應(yīng)用性”  要求主要體現(xiàn)在學(xué)生要能夠善于觀察現(xiàn)象、主動(dòng)靈活地應(yīng)用所學(xué)知識(shí)分析和解決實(shí)際問題，學(xué)以致用，具備較強(qiáng)的理論聯(lián)系實(shí)際能力和實(shí)踐能力。

3. "Application" requirements are mainly reflected in that students should be good at observing phenomena, actively and flexibly apply their knowledge to analyze and solve practical problems, apply what they have learned, and have strong ability to integrate theory with practice and practice.

4.“創(chuàng)新性”要求主要體現(xiàn)在學(xué)生要具有獨(dú)立思考能力，具備批判性和創(chuàng)新性思維方式。

這里面最重要的就是明確了考什么的“四層”：“核心價(jià)值”、“學(xué)科素養(yǎng)”、“關(guān)鍵問題”、“必備知識(shí)”。
